This post is about my year 2025. On the research side, it starts from a simulation error caused by PBC box settings at the beginning of the year, the Young Investigator Award I received in June, and the full development of the mdgenesis.org website. It also reflects on experiences from various academic conferences, my slow progress in reading Tokugawa Ieyasu during business trips, and my guitar practice.
Reading papers and attending international conferences often demand long time of focused comprehension in a foreign language. For lazy language learners (like me), why not take advantage of AI’s incredible capabilities to give your brain a bit of a break?

I recently got this idea that we can show all the basic trigonometric functions and the derivatives in one figure. So I spent some time to plot it with LaTeX.
